Lamination film

Pouches and rolls for hot (thermal) lamination by My PrintA5, A4, A3 formats (80–150 µm, 100 pcs) and 0.32×200 m rolls in glossy, matte and holographic finishes. They bond with heat in a laminator and give documents, photos and print a rigid, water-resistant shell.

Below — how to choose between pouches and a roll, which thickness to take for your task, and how hot lamination differs from cold.

    What it is and why

    In short: for individual documents, photos and badges, choose pouches in the right format (A5/A4/A3) and thickness (80–150 µm): place the item inside, run it through a pouch laminator, and get a rigid, sealed card. For large runs and long or wide formats, choose a roll 0.32×200 m for a roll laminator (glossy, matte or holographic decor). All of this is hot lamination — a strong, waterproof result; for heat-sensitive prints, choose cold film.

    Pouches or roll

    Pouches

    Ready two-sided pockets: place the item inside, run it through a pouch laminator, and get a fully sealed, rigid and waterproof card. Formats A5, A4, A3; thickness 80–150 µm; 100 pcs per pack.

    Roll

    Continuous film for a roll laminator: large runs and long or wide formats without a sheet-size limit. Glossy, matte or holographic finish; roll 0.32×200 m.

    Which film thickness

    80 µm

    The thinnest and most flexible — for documents, menus and materials flipped through often.

    100 µm

    All-round — certificates, diplomas, price lists and instructions.

    125 µm

    Denser, holds its shape — badges, signs and reusable materials.

    150 µm

    The most rigid, like a plastic card — passes, ID badges and cards.

    Hot or cold lamination

    Hot lamination

    Film with a thermal adhesive bonds to the print under the laminator’s heat: a strong, fully sealed, waterproof result. Needs a laminator; not for heat-sensitive prints.

    Cold lamination

    Self-adhesive, no-heat film — safe for photos and heat-sensitive materials. Go to cold film ›

    Cafés, shops, services

    Menus, price lists and tags that withstand moisture and frequent use — A4/A3 pouches or a roll for runs.

    Advertising, photos & decor

    Posters, photographs and souvenirs — a roll (including holographic) and large A3 formats.

    Not sure which film to choose?

    Tell us: the format you need (A5 / A4 / A3 or a roll), your approximate volume, the thickness (80–150 µm) and whether you have a laminator (pouch or roll) — we’ll pick the film, and a laminator too if needed.

    Tip
    Before hot lamination, make sure the print is fully dry and the toner or ink has set: you won’t be able to fix the document after lamination. For heat-sensitive prints and photos, cold film is the better choice.

    FAQ about "Lamination consumables":

    Hot lamination needs a laminator: film with a thermal adhesive bonds to the print under heat and gives a strong, fully sealed, waterproof result.

    • Hot — stronger and more durable, but needs a laminator and is not suitable for heat-sensitive prints;
    • Cold — self-adhesive, no heat, safe for photos and sensitive materials.
    • Pouches — for individual documents, photos and badges; ready two-sided pockets, need a pouch laminator;
    • Roll — for large runs and long or wide formats; needs a roll laminator.
    • 80 µm — flexible, for documents flipped through often;
    • 100 µm — all-round, for certificates and price lists;
    • 125 µm — denser, holds its shape;
    • 150 µm — the most rigid, for badges and passes.

    Yes. Hot film bonds to the print only in a laminator: pouches need a pouch laminator, a roll needs a roll laminator. You can pick a laminator in the “Laminators” section.

    • Documents — certificates, diplomas, instructions, orders;
    • Commercial materials — menus, price lists, tags;
    • Identification — badges, passes;
    • Photos & advertising — photographs, posters, souvenirs.

    Hot lamination heats the material, so for heat-sensitive prints (including some photos and receipts) it can be risky. For such items, choose cold self-adhesive film, which is applied without heat.
