Transfer with heat
Press with a heat press or iron at the recommended settings — see the paper's instructions for exact temperature and time.
Peel & care
Remove the liner, let the item cure ~24 h; wash inside-out, no bleach.

Not sure which paper to choose?
Tell us your printer (inkjet or laser), what you transfer onto (light or dark fabric, hard surface) and whether you need an effect (glitter, luminous, metallic) — we'll suggest the paper, format and quantity, and a heat press if you need one.

FAQ about "Thermal transfer paper":
This is the most important choice: the paper must match your printer.
- Inkjet paper — for inkjet printers only (liquid ink);
- Laser paper — for laser/LED printers only (toner);
- they are not interchangeable — the wrong paper type will not transfer well.
The difference is in the coating and how colours appear:
- For light fabrics — a clear coating; you print mirrored and place it print-side down;
- For dark fabrics — an opaque white base that masks the fabric colour; you print without mirroring and place it print-side up;
- light paper won’t work on dark fabric — the colours sink in.
A heat press gives even pressure and a stable temperature — a more predictable result, especially for runs. An iron can be used for papers marked as iron-compatible (home and hobby use). Always check the specific paper’s instructions for exact temperature and time.
They are different technologies:
- Heat transfer — the design sits as a layer over the material; it works on cotton, polyester, light and dark fabrics and on hard surfaces; printed on an ordinary inkjet or laser printer;
- Sublimation — dye is embedded into the fibre of white polyester by a special printer, with no surface layer.
For sublimation, see the separate sublimation-paper category.
Yes — that’s a key strength of heat transfer.
- Cotton, polyester and blends all work (unlike sublimation, which needs polyester);
- dark garments — use a paper "for dark fabrics" with a white base so colours stay bright.
To make the design last:
- let the item rest ~24 hours before the first wash;
- wash inside-out, in cool water, without bleach;
- don’t rub the design and iron from the reverse, not over the image.
