Temporary tattoo paper

Temporary tattoo paper — a transfer (waterslide) paper you print your own design onto with an ordinary laser or inkjet printer and wear right on your skin for several days.

This is paper for wearing tattoos — promo, parties, beauty, craft — not a stencil an artist uses to transfer a sketch. The one rule of choice: take paper strictly for your printer.

    Sorting:

Tattoo paper: print your design — wear it on your skin

Print any drawing, logo, or text and transfer it to the skin with water — no needle, no pain, no equipment. The range has laser and inkjet papers: strong hold for long wear, a white underlayer for dark skin, gold, silver, luminescent, and metallic foil for eye-catching scenarios.

Choose paper strictly for your printer

Inkjet paper can melt in a laser printer and damage it: laser paper only in a laser printer, inkjet only in an inkjet.

Laser or inkjet printing — the honest difference

    Laser paper (toner)

Toner is fused by heat and barely fears water. It gives a rich black and a crisp outline, longer wear, and a slightly raised film on the skin. The best choice for promo, logos, fine text, tribal and line designs, and long wear.

    Water-resistantRich blackLonger wear
    Inkjet paper (ink)

Liquid ink gives a glossier image, smooth gradients, and photo detail. But the ink is water-soluble, so it washes off faster, and the print needs 10–30 minutes to dry before the adhesive film. Better for vivid full-color and photo designs.

    Sheet structure — a two-layer water system

The set has two sheets: A — the printed one, B — the transparent adhesive film. The print is “sealed” between the film and the skin, so it is not “black henna” with PPD.

The essentials — types and terms

Why do you need white paper?

Printers do not print white. On transparent paper, light and white elements “sink”, especially on dark skin and colored surfaces. White paper provides an opaque underlayer that keeps colors visible.

    What is “strong hold”?

A reinforced adhesive: the tattoo lasts longer and better withstands water and movement. It is the most popular choice when the design has to last all day.

How is foil different from gold paper?

Gold/silver paper prints directly and gives a ready metallic finish. Metallic foil is two-step: first a laser print, then foil is fused onto the toner. The effect is brighter and works only with a laser printer.

    How does luminescent paper work?

The phosphor coating absorbs light and glows green in the dark. Just “charge” the design for 5–10 minutes with bright light; outline designs look best.

Is tattoo paper a stencil for the artist?

No. This is paper for wearing a finished tattoo on the skin. A stencil (thermal transfer) only transfers the sketch outline before a real tattoo and needs different equipment.

How to apply a tattoo — 5 steps

Order: mirrored print → adhesive film B → 30–40 seconds of wetting on dry, clean skin → remove the paper backing. Let inkjet ink dry for 10–30 minutes before applying the film.

    Use cases

Promo or event: a logo or QR on a guest's arm all day
Laser strong-hold, a pack for the whole run
A print shop adds a “custom tattoo printing” service
    Laser strong-hold + 5/20 packs for volume
Kids' party or animation: safe and easy to remove
Basic paper for your printer + a 24-hour patch test
Wedding, bachelorette, photo shoot — “jewelry” tattoos
    Gold or silver metallic
Rave, concert, glow party — glow in the dark
Luminescent paper with a green glow
Dark skin or light elements in the design
White paper as an opaque underlayer

    Which paper suits whom

    Print houses and print shops

A new service without new equipment — on your existing laser printer.

    Laser Strong, 5/20 packs

    Promo and brand agencies

A wearable promo medium: the logo lives through the whole event, cheaper than print collateral.

    Laser Strong wholesale + metallic

    Parents and entertainers

Safety first: a patch test, ages 3+, not near the eyes, easy removal.

    Basic + luminescent

    Beauty, nail, PMU

Water decals for nails, brow-and-freckle previews, a tattoo test-drive before the session.

    Small designs, white / metallic

    Craft and DIY (Cricut, Silhouette)

Print&Cut on the contour: mirror, dry the ink, cut with a small margin.

    Questions and answers

Should I choose laser or inkjet paper?

By your printer type. Laser (toner) is more water-resistant, with a rich black and longer wear; inkjet (ink) is glossier and more detailed but washes off faster. Choose strictly for your printer: inkjet paper can melt in a laser printer.

How long does a temporary tattoo last?

Basic paper — 1–3 days, strong hold — 5–10 days with care. Longer than ~2 weeks isn't possible: the top layer of skin renews itself.

How can I extend the wear?

Degrease and, if needed, shave the area, press firmly, avoid oils, lotions, and friction. Choose spots without creases (shoulder, shoulder blade); you can set it on top with powder or a fixing spray.

Do I need to mirror the image?

Yes — text and asymmetric elements. The tattoo is applied face down, so you mirror them (Flip Horizontal). Symmetric designs and foil don't need mirroring.

Which side to print on, and what settings?

On the working (glossy) side; the back has a marking. In the driver, select heavy/glossy paper, quality High, and manual feed if possible.

Why do you need white paper?

Printers don't print white, so on transparent paper light elements “sink”. White paper provides an opaque underlayer — colors stay visible on dark skin and colored surfaces.

Is the paper safe for skin?

The print is “sealed” between the film and the skin; it's not “black henna” with PPD. Do a 24-hour patch test, apply from age 3, not near the eyes or on damaged skin.

How many tattoos fit on an A4 sheet?

It depends on the design size — several small tattoos usually fit on one sheet at once, so the cost per print is low.

Is this paper for wearing tattoos or a stencil for the artist?

For wearing a finished tattoo on the skin. A stencil (thermal transfer) only transfers the sketch outline before a real tattoo and needs different equipment.
