3D Sublimation Cases are a new trend in fashionable design for the most popular devices such as phones or tablets. They differ from the already known 2D sublimation cases in that the image is transferred to the entire surface of the case, including the side edges. The procedure for transferring the image to the blank is also slightly different, requiring specialized equipment. In addition to a printer with sublimation inks, a set of molds and a 3D heat press are purchased.

How to print on 3D sublimation cases?

The procedure consists of a series of sequential steps:

1. Turn on the heat press and let it heat up for 10 minutes, placing inside all the molds that will be used.
2. Place the image printed on sublimation paper on top of the blank, ensuring that it fits snugly on all sides. It is better to use thermal tape for additional fixation.
3. Put the case on the mold and place it in the heat press.
4. Then turn on the vacuum, which tightly fixes the image on the case.
5. Under the influence of high temperatures, sublimation inks transition into a gaseous state and penetrate the surface layer of the case, where they solidify and return to a solid form.
6. The final stage is to remove the blank, remove the mold, and remove the paper.

The molds are individual for each phone model. Their purchase increases the cost of the cases, but they are necessary for the process.
