FAQ about "Self-adhesive film for inkjet printing":
Waterproof ones are PET (holographic, mirror, matte, brushed, white/translucent glossy) and both PP films. Non-waterproof — kraft paper and clear PET. For outdoors, dishware and cosmetics choose a waterproof option.
PET prints on an inkjet printer and suits most stickers. PP (polypropylene) prints on both inkjet and laser printers — that’s the key difference: if you have a laser printer, choose PP. Both are tough, waterproof films.
Transparent shows only the printed artwork — a print-on-glass effect when the surface underneath is light. White gives a solid opaque background with saturated colours — for dark surfaces and photo printing.
Only PP films (matte and glossy white) print on laser — they are rated for the fuser temperature. PET films are made for inkjet printing. Kraft paper is for inkjet dye printing; laser is not confirmed by the maker — test on a single sheet first if needed.
Sheet films and clear rolls — water-based (dye) inkjet ink. Solvent, latex and UV inks are not suitable for them. Rolls marked “eco-solvent/UV” are only for the matching printers.
No. PET and PP films are waterproof on their own — print, cut and stick with no lamination. For long outdoor use you may optionally laminate or apply a UV sealer spray (bought separately). Kraft paper isn’t waterproof — laminate it for wet use.
The ink dries in about 10–15 seconds (a few minutes for heavy solid fills). After that you can plotter-cut and apply the film.
Holographic — a rainbow shimmer for festive decor and sticker-bombing. Mirror — a bright metallic mirror effect for premium labels. Brushed — a matte aged-metal look for vintage and craft labels.
