Printing Technology (Step-by-Step)
Design Preparation: Shiny elements appear only where there is no color. CMYK is printed under the colored areas, while transparent spots covered with varnish are left for the shiny details. Tip: create a colored outline around the shiny elements — this will make the edges perfect. You can also make the varnish layer slightly larger (trapping) for a beautiful halo effect.
Printing Process: Film A (silver or gold) is fed into the printer. UV inks are applied layer by layer: first CMYK, and then varnish in the required areas. The shiny coating from the film adheres exclusively to the varnish.
Lamination: Immediately after printing, Film A is automatically laminated with transparent Film B. It fixes the image and serves as the base for further use.
