How to make it

PrintPrint your design on the matte (working) side with an inkjet printer and dye (water-based) ink. Let the ink dry for a few minutes. You may add detail with permanent markers.

CutCut the piece out BEFORE baking — with scissors, a punch or a plotter. For a keychain, punch the ring hole now.

Preheat & linerPreheat the oven to 130–150 °C (266–302 °F). Place the piece on a tray lined with cardboard, Teflon or parchment (not bare metal or stoneware), and cover it with parchment so the film does not stick to itself.

BakeBake for ≈ 2–3 minutes: the piece shrinks and hardens. Test the time and temperature on a scrap first. If it curls, flatten it with a spatula after baking; do not handle until cooled.

Seal (optional)You may coat the finished piece with a polyurethane sealer for extra durability (bought separately).

Which printer do I use?

An inkjet printer with dye (water-based) ink, on the matte side. Add detail with permanent markers if you like. Laser printers are not suitable.
